HOW TO ABRADE THE POOL SURFACE PRIOR TO PAINTING with LUXAPOOL® Epoxy Pool Paint
About the Video
Before you begin you will need:
- A pool surface that has been cleaned with LUXAPOOL Concentrated Wash
- To have repaired any cracks and other pool surface imperfections
- 20 to 40 grit sanding disks
- Orbital sander or angle grinder with a ZEC disk
- Safety glasses, dust mask, ear muffs or ear plugs
- Sun screen and hat if abrading in the sun.
- Dust pan and broom
Step 1: Abrade the old epoxy coating.
Failure to abrade the existing coating thoroughly can result in adhesive failure of the new epoxy coating.
Step 2: Remove all residue from surface abrading.
Step 3: Pump out and allow to dry.
