HOW TO ABRADE THE POOL SURFACE PRIOR TO PAINTING with LUXAPOOL® Epoxy Pool Paint

About the Video

Before you begin you will need:

  1. A pool surface that has been cleaned with LUXAPOOL Concentrated Wash
  2. To have repaired any cracks and other pool surface imperfections
  3. 20 to 40 grit sanding disks
  4. Orbital sander or angle grinder with a ZEC disk
  5. Safety glasses, dust mask, ear muffs or ear plugs
  6. Sun screen and hat if abrading in the sun.
  7. Dust pan and broom

Step 1: Abrade the old epoxy coating.

Failure to abrade the existing coating thoroughly can result in adhesive failure of the new epoxy coating.

Step 2: Remove all residue from surface abrading.

Step 3: Pump out and allow to dry.
